Subprocessors

Our approach to subprocessors

Obsidian keeps its subprocessor list short by design. All core AI processing happens within Obsidian's own AWS infrastructure — client data does not pass through multiple third-party AI services. We do not use external transcription providers, external LLM APIs, or third-party middleware for client data.

This page lists every third-party entity that processes data on Obsidian's behalf. We will notify customers of any changes to this list with 30 days' advance notice.

Client data subprocessor

The single subprocessor that processes and stores all client data — meetings, transcripts, CRM records, documents, and portfolio data.

Ancillary subprocessors

Services used for telephony, error monitoring, website analytics, and marketing. These do not process client data.

User-authorised integrations

When an adviser connects a third-party service — such as Gmail, Outlook, OneDrive, or Intelliflo — data flows directly between Obsidian and that service under the adviser's own authorisation. These are not subprocessors; they are integrations the adviser explicitly enables and can disconnect at any time. See our integrations page for the full list.

Infrastructure services

Infrastructure-level services that do not process client data — such as DNS, CDN, and email delivery — are not listed as subprocessors. Details of these services are available on request.
