Gmail & Google Calendar
Email & Calendar integration
Yes. Obsidian supports Gmail and Google Calendar for email access, draft composition, and calendar synchronisation.
What the Gmail & Google Calendar integration does
Connecting Gmail and Google Calendar to Obsidian brings your email and scheduling into your adviser workflow. View and search client emails directly from their record without switching tabs. Draft personalised responses that match your tone, ready to review and send. Calendar events created in either Google Calendar or Obsidian stay synchronised, so meetings always appear in your day plan. The integration uses OAuth — no passwords are stored in Obsidian.
What advisers can do
-
Email access
View and search client emails directly from their Obsidian record.
-
Email drafts
Compose draft replies from within Obsidian, ready to review and send.
-
Calendar sync
Keep meetings in sync between Google Calendar and Obsidian automatically.
How it works
Obsidian connects to your Google account via OAuth. Once authorised, emails sent to and from client email addresses are surfaced on the client record in Obsidian — no manual linking required. Draft replies composed in Obsidian are saved as Gmail drafts, ready to review and send from your inbox. Calendar events synchronise bidirectionally: meetings created in Google Calendar appear in your Obsidian day plan, and vice versa. Sync runs automatically in the background.
How to connect
