Yes. Obsidian connects to Claude so you can look up clients, check meetings, review portfolios, and manage tasks without leaving the conversation.

What the Claude integration does

Connecting Obsidian to Claude brings your entire practice into the conversation. Look up a client, check tomorrow's meetings, review a portfolio, draft a follow-up email, or see what tasks are overdue. Claude pulls data directly from Obsidian, so you get the same information you would see in the app. You sign in once with your Obsidian account and you're connected. Ask about clients, households, portfolios, meetings, tasks, and documents, or have Claude draft content from what it finds.

What advisers can do

  • Clients and households

Look up any client by name, see their household, and review recent activity.

  • Meetings and day plan

Check your upcoming meetings, read AI-generated summaries, and review your day plan.

  • Tasks

See outstanding tasks, filter by client or due date, and track completed work.

  • Documents

Pull up meeting notes, suitability reports, and any other documents stored in Obsidian.

  • Portfolios and holdings

View portfolio valuations and holdings across all connected wealth platforms.

  • Email drafting

Draft client emails based on meeting outcomes or follow-up actions.

  • AI memory

Access notes and preferences that Obsidian remembers across conversations.

Example prompts

  • “Show me the Smith household and their last three meetings.”

  • “What meetings do I have this week?”

  • “What is the current portfolio valuation for Sarah Johnson?”

  • “List all outstanding tasks due this month.”

  • “Draft a follow-up email to James Williams summarising our meeting today.”

  • “Which clients have ISA holdings on Transact?”

How it works

When you ask Claude something about your practice, it reaches into Obsidian to get the answer. Client records, meeting summaries, portfolio valuations, tasks, documents: Claude reads the data Obsidian holds when you ask. You connect once by signing in with your Obsidian account. After that, Claude automatically pulls from Obsidian whenever your question involves practice data. Only data within your firm's boundary is accessible. The same permissions you have in Obsidian apply here.

How to connect

  1. 1

Ask your team owner to add Obsidian. In Claude, they go to Organisation settings, then Connectors, click Browse connectors, find Obsidian, and click Add to your team.

  2. 2

Once your owner has added Obsidian, go to Customise, then Connectors and click Connect next to Obsidian.

  3. 3

Sign in with your Obsidian account and approve the connection.

  4. 4

Start a conversation and ask Claude about your clients, meetings, or tasks.
